We received a new year's card from Mr. Taichi Ito again this year.

Taichi is a member of the 58th Japanese Antarctic Research Expedition and in charge of mechanical department.

The reason why we receive the new year's card in April is that the letters and cards posted at the Showa base had been carried to Japan by "Shirase" and delivered after her return home.

Taichi is selected as a member of wintering team this year. We would like to continue to support him.
